Ducati GT 1000

In these days when supercars reign supreme, the Ducati GT 1000 is a great alternative for those who are tired of “tight” motorcycles ready to wear, but still want to enjoy a relaxed and enjoyable ride.

But you won't get it wrong. Ducati is a brand with a passion for motorcycles and parts that can only be found on beauties from the Borg Panigal factory. The GT 1000 proves this with every inch of polished chrome and beautiful red-coated sheet metal. The bike really only shares the name and rugged looks with its stellar predecessor, everything else is new, the result of 18 months of hard work by Ducati engineers in the R&D department.

The motorcycle is powered by the proven 1000cc twin-cylinder engine. The engine provides a smooth ride in which the driver and front passenger can enjoy the pleasant vibrations of the twin-cylinder engine and the characteristic Ducati sound from the chrome exhaust pipes, as well as the brisk twisting traffic on the winding road. The steel tube frame combined with the suspension (43mm Marzocchi USD fork in front, dual shock absorbers at the rear) gives the bike the calmness and stability on the flat and long corners for which the old Ducats were best known. As such, the GT 1000 is extremely precise and surprisingly light to drive. Something completely different that you would dare to imagine for a vintage or classic motorcycle. Not to mention the brakes; Brembo has made sure that the 185 kg, as dry as the GT 1000, stops quickly and reliably.

Due to the very relaxed and upright driving position and the fact that it offers great comfort even for the passenger (great seat), we dare to say that this is the friendliest and most helpful Ducati so far. If you flirt with the classics and love motorcycles with a soul, and especially if you are annoyed by the fact that all your acquaintances ride more or less similar Japanese finished motorcycles, you are ready for the GT 1000. Engineer Taglioni, congratulations. , you have made a motorcycle that is fashionable even after 35 years! n* Engineer Taglioni is the father of the old Ducati GT 750 introduced in 1971.
