Engine 2TZ-FE
The 2TZ-FE engine is a horizontal, four-cylinder, in-line DOHC gasoline engine, which is used for a special location under the floor of a car body. A distinctive feature of the use of the TZ series engine is the use of cardan transmission. The lubrication system is an analogue of the "dry sump".
The 2TZ-FE brand engine is the basic version of the TZ series, distinguished by the absence of a mechanical supercharger (Supercharger), implemented in a more pumped version of the 2TZ-FZE engine, which is found much less frequently in Toyota cars.
History
The engine has been installed since 1990 on Toyota Estima (TCR10W/11W/20W/21W) and Toyota Estima Emina/Lucida (TCR10G/11G/20G/21G) models. The first mention of the engine is associated with the Toyota Previa, namely the Toyota Estima Lucida model, on which a 2,4-liter injection engine was installed.
The unit was mass-produced and installed on cars from April 1990 to December 2000 and has already been discontinued. On the other hand, there are no problems with the supply of spare parts at the moment.

Exploitation
The biggest problem with servicing the TZ series engine is the layout used by Toyota. The specific layout of the unit led to a complex drive system for mounted units. Placement under the floor of the body greatly complicates access to the motor, which makes it difficult to carry out preventive maintenance.
Drivers note its increased tendency to overheat and, as a result, increased sensitivity to oil quality. Despite the fact that the engine responds normally to 92 gasoline, the actual operating power is highly dependent on the quality of gasoline.
Hack and predictor Aviator
The toyota 2TZ-FE engine is one of the most non-standard and difficult-to-operate power units produced by Toyota. The cost of a contract engine in Russia, depending on the condition and time of operation, can vary from 28800 to 33600 rubles.
