The 2.5-liter Mazda PY-VPS gasoline engine has been assembled by a Japanese company since 2013 and is put on such popular models as 6, CX-5 and the CX-8 crossover, which is not presented here. In other markets, motor modifications are offered under other indices: PY-RPS and PY-VPR.
The Skyactiv-G line also includes internal combustion engines: P5‑VPS and PE‑VPS.

Disadvantages, breakdowns and problems of PY-VPS
Quite often, owners of cars with such an engine are faced with oil consumption.
A strong drop in the level of lubrication often results in the replacement of connecting rod bearings
Also, the engine does not like bad gasoline, the fuel system quickly clogs in it.
