The once popular Mitsubishi Motors engine is 4g54. Configuration in-line, four-cylinder.

Belongs to the Astron series. It was used in the production of cars of popular models, for example, Pajero. Used in cars of other brands.

The engine has several versions. The US version is referred to as "Jet Valve". They are distinguished by the presence of a separate intake valve, which supplies an additional volume of air to the combustion chamber. This solution leans the mixture to reduce the level of exhaust emissions in certain operating modes.

Another version of the Mitsubishi engine is the ECI-Multi ("Astron II"). Appeared in 1987. The main feature is electronically controlled fuel injection. Mitsubishi 4g54 is not the most common motor. Finding complete units and individual spare parts for it is somewhat difficult, but possible.

Complete engines, due to their rarity, are somewhat more expensive than their counterparts.
