Design and modifications of internal combustion engines of the GA15 family
Like all other 4-cylinder engines of the GA series, the tags have a simple design: a cast-iron block, an aluminum head, and two timing chains, since the crankshaft is connected to the camshafts through an intermediate shaft. There are no hydraulic lifters.
Different indexes for engines due to the power system:
GA15S - carburetor version with one camshaft for 12 valves. Its power is quite decent for its class 85 hp. 123 Nm.
GA15E - everything is the same here, but there is a distributed injection, so we managed to remove a little more from this modification, namely 97 hp. 128 Nm.
GA15DS - the combination of a carburetor and a sixteen-valve block head with two camshafts gives an impressive 94 hp 126 Nm.
GA15DE - the most common version uses multi-point injection, a DOHC 16v head and a proprietary ECCS powertrain electronic control system. Power corresponding to 105 hp and 135 Nm.
