The gasoline 1.5-liter VAZ 2110 engine is essentially a small adaptation of the 21083 engine for models of the tenth family.

The 1.5-liter 8-valve VAZ 2110 carburetor engine was first introduced in 1994. In fact, the motor is an adaptation of the internal combustion engine 21083 for cars of the new tenth Lada family.

The tenth family also includes internal combustion engines: 2111 and 2112.

This unit is an adaptation of the VAZ ICE 21083 for cars of the tenth family. Before the engineers of the AvtoVAZ concern, the task was only to rearrange the additional equipment for the new model. The main innovation is that the tanks are finally fixed and they do not hang out.

Owners of carburetor dozens constantly speak unflatteringly about their power unit. Some of these reproaches are addressed to the capricious Solex carburetor, some to the engine itself, the reliability of which is also unimportant. However, it has advantages, such as affordable service and low cost of spare parts.

Despite the fact that this is a relatively old motor, it is desirable to pour high-quality semi-synthetics into it such as 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-40 or 15W40.
