The concern first introduced the 1.6-liter 8-valve VAZ 11182 engine only in 2021 as the basic power unit of a restyled version of the famous Lada Largus model. This motor, in fact, was only an update of the internal combustion engine of the pre-styling modification of the VAZ 11189.
The VAZ 8V line also includes internal combustion engines: 11183, 11186, 11189, 21114 and 21116.

In 2021, the AvtoVAZ concern introduced updated versions of the Lada Largus line models and their new 8-valve unit, which replaced the engine under the VAZ 11189 index. Here is the same cast-iron block, but its own head with all-metal pushers instead of washers, a new cylinder head cover with more a productive ventilation system, and updated the timing belt. A lightweight connecting rod and piston group, valves, camshaft and crankshaft are also used.
Thanks to all these innovations, it was possible to significantly reduce mechanical losses and, accordingly, fuel consumption, and the engine power increased by 3 horsepower to 90 hp. But the main thing is that 80 percent of the torque is now available at 1000 rpm. And the introduction of more modern all-metal pushers instead of obsolete washers allows you to adjust valve clearances every 90 thousand km, and not every 30 km as before.
