Mazda F8 engines

Mazda F8 engines are part of the F family, which are in-line four-piston engines. The series is also characterized by a belt drive (SOHC and DOHC) and an iron cylinder block.

The predecessor of the F8 is the F6 series. Appeared in 1983. The engines were used in the Mazda B1600 and Mazda Capella/626.

The 8-valve engine produced 73 horsepower. The F8 engine was produced in several configurations, including 12 valves. This sets it apart from its predecessor. The carburetor version of the F8 was assembled with 8 valves.

Maintainability, reliability, features

The F8 motor is incredibly simple. Low-loaded and calm in behavior. The unit is not subject to overheating. Breakdown frequency is low. With a loaded cabin, it moves the vehicle almost as confidently as an empty car. Unpretentiousness in terms of the choice of gasoline is amazing. In order for the internal combustion engine to work, it is enough to have any gasoline available: AI-80, AI-92, AI-95. It is desirable, of course, to fill in the AI-92 and not experiment with reliability.

The engine consumption, for example, of the Mazda Bongo minivan, is simply excellent. Consumes from 10 liters per 100 km of the track or 12-15 liters in the city. In addition, if desired, it is possible to install gas equipment on a car, but at such an expense, this does not make much sense.

The automatic transmission on the Mazda Bongo does not surprise with its behavior. The reaction of the mechanism is a little slow, but at the same time predictable. In some cases, changing the transmission fluid helps to make the gear shift softer. Despite the fact that the manual states that this is not necessary.Mazda F8 engines

Mazda F8 pulls well at low speeds up to a speed of 50-60 km / h. Dynamism drops noticeably at 100-110 km / h. Theoretically capable of accelerating to 150 km / h, but this is no longer necessary. There is no need to prove something, for example, on the Mazda Bongo. The car was created for the transport of goods and passengers, and not for racing. At the same time, it copes with cargo and passenger transportation perfectly well.

The unit is amazingly reliable. Only consumables change. There are a lot of manufacturers of the latter, since many similar parts were produced for Porter, Mitsubu, Nissan. If necessary, an analogue of consumables from autoclones is bought. Spare parts are available in terms of price.

Overhaul of the engine does not differ from similar procedures for other cars. The block is bored (by 0,5). After that, the shaft is ground (by 0,25). At the next stage, a small nuisance may arise - the lack of sale of connecting rod bearings and piston rings. Fortunately, spare parts can be taken from Mitsubishi 1Y, 2Y, 3Y, 3S, from Toyota 4G64B or other analogues.

Contract engine

Mazda F8 without warranty and attachments costs from 30 thousand rubles. It is really possible to find a contract engine without attachments at a price of 35 thousand rubles. The power unit, brought from Japan, with a guarantee of 14 to 60 days, costs from 40 thousand rubles. At the same time, excellent condition is guaranteed, there are no attachments and a gearbox.Mazda F8 engines

The most expensive option is the price of 50 thousand rubles. In this case, in addition to the engine, attachments are provided, including a starter. Such internal combustion engines are supplied from Japan and do not have a run in the Russian Federation. We have all the necessary documents and most importantly - a guarantee.

Delivery in all cases is carried out in Russia without any problems. Payment is also in all cases offered in a non-cash version or in cash, as well as by transfer to a bank card (more often Sberbank). If necessary, a contract of sale is concluded.
