Scramblers like these look cool and re-discover the primacy of motorcycle sport, that is, riding when numbers, millimeters, horses and seconds were not so important, but the first and most important thing was just to enjoy the motorcycle. XSR 700 XTribute It's not just a make-up version of this family of classic retro products, but it has components that make driving fun both on and off the road.

The steering wheel is wide, fits perfectly in the hands and provides very good control while driving. 40mm wider than regular crossbar XSR700 than older crossbikes... The seat is flat, padded and 30mm taller for a comfortable and relaxed ride, more knee room, and just motion on a motorcycle that you can truly ride like an enduro. When my colleague Zeljko and I followed the guide on the test lap and early morning shoot, as we were among the first to catch the flight home from Barcelona, we had fun as two teenagers... Neither the morning cold nor the light rain bothered me. On every longer plane, we played with riding the rear wheel and turning the throttle, so that the Yamaha two-cylinder engine roared joyfully from the high-positioned Akrapovicevega an exhaust system, which is otherwise available at an additional cost, as well as a rear round lamp. In short, driving the XSR700 XTribute is one hell of a pastime.

The engine is rich in torque and the transmission is short and precise. Together with the frame and suspension, they form a lively and very easy-to-operate scrambler capable of satisfying even the most demanding driver.

Pirelli's off-road tires not only give the scrambler an authentic look, but also provide very good traction in all conditions. Light rain soaked the asphalt and cobbled streets. Tortoiseso they had a hard job. They also showed themselves on gravel roads in the Ebro delta, where we were surrounded by salt pans and rice fields.

If I sum up my first impressions in one sentence, I can say that Yamaha engineers managed to create a fun, real motorcycle worthy of its precious name.
