EHB - electro-hydraulic brake

Emergency braking assistance system similar to BAS.

Braking by wire operating system, in which the brake pedal activates a sensor that senses the pressure and response speed by sending the resulting electrical signal to the control unit, which also receives information from ABS and ESP. Consequently, some solenoid valves discharge high pressure brake fluid (140-160 bar) into a reservoir with a gas diaphragm, where it is accumulated by an electric pump. The brakes are adjusted for tightness (ABS) and stability (ESP). In practice, instead of the brake booster, which only sends the pressure resulting from the depressing of the brake pedal, in this case the intervention of the fluid already under pressure is modulated.
