Electric motorcycle: CAKE will use Northvolt batteries

Swedish manufacturer CAKE has just signed a letter of intent with Northvolt to equip its range of electric motorcycles with a new generation of batteries.

The developer and manufacturer of batteries for electric vehicles Northvolt has already signed agreements with several car manufacturers, including the BMW and Volkswagen groups. Having secured the launch of its first Gigafactory in Sweden in 2021, the manufacturer will also supply future electric motorcycles of the Swedish brand CAKE.

Under the terms of the agreement between the two partners, 2021 will be devoted to preparatory work that will allow teams from both companies to develop and test the technology. Goal: To market the first CAKE electric motorcycles equipped with Northvolt batteries in the first half of 2022.
