Electric T-Rex: first prototype shown in Montreal
Quebec producer Campagna Motors has just unveiled an electric version of its T-Rex three-wheeled car.
Unveiled on April 20 at the Montreal Electric Show, the electric T-Rex is swapping its regular six-cylinder engine for an electric powertrain developed by Californian manufacturer Zero Motorcycles.
Aesthetically very close to the conventional versions, this electric T-Rex has two electric motors. With 140 horsepower and 232 Nm of torque, they can reach a top speed of 180 km / h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds, which is better than the thermal imaging versions.
The lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 26 kWh provides a range of about 225 kilometers.
The model presented in Montreal will be only the first prototype. The second, more powerful version should be presented in the summer of 2018.
