Kia e-Soul electric car - impressions from Marek Drives [YouTube]

On the Marek Drives channel, a recording appeared with an electric Kia e-Soul in the title role. Youtuber Marek Verushevsky didn't have much time to get to know the car, because in the video we mainly learn about the technical details and controls of an electrician. However, it is important that Verushevsky does not look for problems by force, but values the pleasure of driving.

Before we get to the synopsis of the video, two words of reminder that are the technical data of the Kia e-Soul:

  • versions: 39,2 kWh + 100 kW / 136 km or 64 kWh + 150 kW / 204 km,
  • segment: B-SUV, or city crossover,
  • measurements: length - 4,195 meters, wheelbase - 2,6 meters,
  • battery: 39,2 kWh or 64 kWh (net power),
  • real range in mixed mode and good conditions: ~ 230-240 km (39,2 kWh), 391 km (64 kWh),
  • availability: 2019th half of XNUMX,
  • price: PLN 155-160 thousand for the 39,2 kWh version, probably from PLN 180 thousand for the 64 kWh version.

Marek Wieruszewski, owner of the Marek Drives channel, spoke about both versions of the e-Soul, but he was probably testing the 64 kWh model with the high equipment option. The presentation of the car took place without fountains, Verushevsky mainly recalled the technical details of the car, its capabilities and ways of charging - and announced a wider review in the future.

An intriguing digression was the mention of the modes of movement. Youtuber saw the opportunity to choose a sport mode, but suggested more important to him is economic driving and trying to squeeze the maximum range out of the car is common among electricians: safe and sensible instead of harsh and... 15 minutes shorter.

By the way, we found out that the warranty for the Kia e-Soul is 7 years, but in the car the upper limit is 150 thousand kilometers. There is no mileage limit for batteries and the packaging is replaced when the capacity drops to 70 percent of the original value.

Much of the film focuses on the history of UVO Connect, integrated with a mobile application that allows you to drive a car. Unfortunately, while e-Soul supposedly already supports the UVO Connect system, the app won't be available until 2020.
