In the group of electric car drivers, our attention was drawn to SEW Electric Scooters, which advertised the cars it sells. We decided to ask the owner of the company about the prices and capabilities of these cars. Here's what we found out.

Www.elektrowoz.pl editorial office: I saw that you advertised your scooters in a group. Do you plan to sell them or can you rent them?

Tomasz Kendzierski, SEW Electric scooters: Currently I sell and rent, in fact both work in parallel. I am open to the needs of a market that does not have strong, good scooters at great prices.

Okay, this is the most important thing now: PRICE. How much do these scooters cost?

New ones start at 9 26 zł and end with 5000 5 zł. It all depends on the power and capacity of the battery, which means the range. For example, PUSA 6,8W (125 kW motor, i.e.

Detailed prices are available on the SEW website (here).

Too cheap. Are these scooters approved for the Polish market?

They are approved for the entire European market, including Poland. Scooters with 3 kW (4,1 hp) are registered as mopeds, above as motorcycles.

Okay, let's say in detail, what brands of scooters are we talking about? How much do they weigh and what is the width of the steering wheel, because this information will come in handy when squeezing in traffic jams? 🙂

I rent emco electric scooters, model Novax S4000, weight 92, 102, 124, 144, 176 and 184 kg, steering wheel width 70 centimeters, width 87 centimeters with mirrors unfolded.

I sell new scooters EFUN models PUSA 3-5 kW, LIPO 3-5 kW and PUMA-S 9 kW, ranges from 50 to 200 km, from 2 kWh to 8 kWh. Models PUSA and LIPO in traffic OK. The PUMA-S is too wide to squeeze through heavy city traffic, and the handlebars are 95 centimeters wide.

What is their performance? I heard they are equivalent to 125cc motorcycles - is that true?

It depends on the power. This is true:

  • 3 kW is equivalent to 50 cm3 – maximum speed 45 km/h, driving with an ID card,
  • 4 kW is equivalent to 80 cm– maximum speed 70 km/h, A1 or B qualification required,
  • 5 kW - equivalent to 125 cm– maximum speed 90 km/h, A1 or B qualification required,
  • 9 kW, equivalent to 300 cm– top speed 120 km/h, A1 or B qualification required, 0-100 in 8 seconds.

What is the battery capacity and charging connector?

The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 2kWh to 8kWh and the charging port is a 230V European plug.

Are the batteries removable?

PUSA and LIPO scooters have removable batteries. The PUMA-S scooter has built-in batteries.
