To get to work, shop, go for a walk or even go to the movies, the electric bike can be used simply and everywhere!
Electric bike for whom?
Contrary to popular belief, an electric bike is not just for seniors or people with disabilities.
An e-bike is for everyone, because it allows for a wide variety of uses, for example:
Going to work, the e-bike allows you to engage in physical activity every day. Plus, you no longer need to worry about traffic jams and parking!
To go for a walk, the walks require less effort and are therefore longer and less tiring.
For students, it can replace a scooter, which is more expensive to operate and, above all, more dangerous.
Electric bike, how much does it cost?
The price is very variable, a good quality electric bike can cost over 3000 €.
But, for example, at Decathlon, the first prize is 750 euros.
A group surveyed by 6T shows that in France the average purchase price is 1060 euros.
However, to help buyers, many cities offer a subsidy for the purchase of an electric bike: for example, Paris refunds 33% of the purchase price, but no more than 400 euros.
Actually, why buy an e-bike?
The motives differ depending on the country:
In France and Spain, an electric bicycle is compared to a car: “cheaper” and “greener”.
In the Netherlands, a reference country, an electric bicycle is measured by a bicycle: 59% more “practical” than a regular bicycle.
