| There are mechanical conveyor systems, also known as "elevators", that can be bought or rented to lift bricks onto scaffolding. Although they are expensive, they are much less tiring than carrying bricks by hand. They require at least two people (one for loading, one for emptying) at each end of the conveyor. Brick tongs | |
| Brick tongs allow you to lift multiple bricks at a time using only one hand. This means you can carry two brick tongs at the same time, and then more bricks. |
 | A row of bricks (usually about 6-10) can be lifted between the tongs as a handle or lever locks them in place. Brick tongs are easier to load than brick carts, but may require adjustment and are not suitable for transporting bricks across different levels. Find out more about brick pliers. |
