Went: BMW G 310 GS

The polenduro semi-road motorcycle has finally begun its conquest march. ride - sounds like a tag BMW G310GS and is the latest acquisition of the increasingly powerful 300 class motorcycle. It smells like Sparta, at least in the motorcycle arena, and it certainly suits me as a typical member of the 300 class. The youngest and youngest member of the GS dynasty, which can be found practically on For any reason, last October had the opportunity to manage journalists from all over the world - yes, this is the smallest GS, obviously, in all world markets.

As opposed to a fragile political situation (again, not so), the mini GS has established itself as a reliable passenger that only shakes a little (too) in the 5.000 to 7.000 rpm range, otherwise it can be easily pushed. on the highway, within limits and smooth transition. The journalists traveled a significant part of the roads between Barcelona and Tarragona and experienced a lot of adrenaline on the serpentines of the El Garraf Natural Park. The narrow mountain roads rose and fell steeply, which did not interfere with the motorcycle, and every now and then there was a view of the sea. We were waiting for a stop at the Cal Joan restaurant in Olesa de Bonesvalls, in a place also called Curva Magica.

The rest of the small crossover is intended lighter off-road driving - No, the Romanians will not succeed, but it is true that lighter riders who have not grown to a height of more than 180 centimeters will squeeze much more out of the motorcycle. For example, older and heavier male colleagues have complained that the handlebars are set too low to stand upright, which of course isn't a problem unless you're a supermodel or in the heaviest boxing category. One could almost say that the bike was made to the dimensions of a 170cm adventure rider's dream. The seat may not be the lowest - the standard height is 835 millimeters, with the ability to raise or lower by 25 millimeters or minus 20, but you quickly get used to the fact that this is not a float and that the height will come in handy. in city crowds. When we returned to Barcelona "from the wild", we were in rush hour, and this is where the genes of the little GS's enthusiasm really showed themselves. The twistiness between the cars, the shortcut down the sidewalk, pssh ... it's all a snack for the little GS. In the end, I find the two hour rush hour battle in Barcelona to be the most interesting driving experience in Catalonia. After this rather extreme experience, I piously promise that I will never again complain about traffic in Ljubljana, and above all that I will declare war on two wheels during the motorcycle season.

The BMW G 310 GS is prepared for dynamic city driving thanks to its low weight (169,5 at all 11 liters of fuel), good visibility thanks to an upright and relaxed seat, short turning radius and a lively, highly responsive single-cylinder engine. The engine, and the same performance, combined with the excellent 180mm rear suspension and larger 19-inch front wheel are ideal for easier off-road work. The motorcycle consumes only 3,33 liters per 100 kilometers, which means that with one tank you can drive more than 300 kilometers. Wonderful!

The word "forgiveness" best describes this bike, but I know serious riders won't like the name. 34 horsepower in a single-cylinder unit is enough to take you to the top of mountain slopes and forest roads - with the push of a button, it's smart to turn off the ABS!. If the GS is synonymous with a touring bike, then the smallest GS is synonymous with fast getaways around town and beyond.
