Volkswagen has unveiled the first draft of the new Amarok. We know the first details of the news.

At its annual press conference, Volkswagen unveiled the first draft of its new Amarok. Not many details were given. However, it is known that structurally the car will be related to the new generation Ford Ranger. Including both machines will use the same floor slab.

This is the result of a collaboration announced last year between Volkswagen and Ford, who also want to jointly develop technologies for autonomous and electric vehicles.

The production version of the new Amarok is scheduled to be unveiled in the second half of 2021, with a launch in 2022, just like the new Ford Ranger. It is likely that both are made in Argentina.

In addition to the collaboration on the new Amarok and Ranger models, the collaboration between Volkswagen and Ford could also include the new Ford Transit Connect and the new Volkswagen Caddy, which will start production this year.
