The Mustang Mach-E is a really solid electric that should not be forgotten if we are looking for an alternative to Tesla cars or European manufacturers.

Interior and trunk

The interior of the car is trimmed with artificial leather and black plastic, with red stitching and silver and gray accents. The upholstery is very soft and feels like real leather. The buttons on the steering wheel are regular classic buttons, not tactile surfaces. According to the reviewer, the impression of the interior is ambiguous: some materials are of high quality, and some solutions are not special. But they all perform better than standard Ford models.

The roof is panoramic, non-opening. The 15,5-inch screen in the center of the cab provides a high-contrast, rich image.. The screen behind the wheel - meters - has a size of 10,2 inches and displays all the necessary information. From the driver's point of view, only the steering wheel looks quite typical. Range and driving experience

At a temperature of -1 degrees Celsius, the machine reported. Range of 449 km with fully charged battery. The Volkswagen ID.4, which we drove in slightly warmer temperatures (between 3 and 11 degrees), showed 377–378 or 402 kilometers on a full charge, depending on whether the A/C was on or not. And that was the real value. Based on this, one could initially conclude that the energy efficiency of both cars is similar when Ford uses 19-inch wheels and Volkswagen uses 20-inch ones. Let us add, however, that Mustang Mach-E does not have a heat pump, the manufacturer is poor.

Trip

Car serves 1-pedal driving, i.e. driving with only one accelerator pedal. The suspension configuration is a good combination of comfort and stability. Adaptive dampers are only available in the GT version. The steering is direct, but does not provide all the information about the road surface. When driving on the highway, the noise in the cabin is similar to what Tesla drivers experience - it is not very quiet, which can be heard on the recording.

The car gives whole numbers about energy consumption. When driving at a speed of about 120 km / h (recall: at low temperatures), the car needed about 25 kWh / 100 km, therefore battery with a capacity of 88 kWh should allow you to travel up to 350 kilometers without recharging. Acceleration from 100 to 150 km / h was dynamic (faster in the Untamed version), it is clear that the car has a power reserve.
