Hybrid manicure at home - how to do it yourself?

Want to take matters into your own hands and try your hand at home instead of going to a manicurist? That's all, you already have at your disposal equipment and cosmetics prepared specifically for amateur procedures. However, to apply the hybrid on the nails, you need to prepare not only practically. The theory can be found below.

Well-manicured, smooth nails with color that lasts without the risk of chipping or chafing are common today. Yes, we are talking about a hybrid manicure. We just left it to the professionals for now. What if, instead of making an appointment every few weeks, you did everything at home, by yourself? It turns out that this is not difficult, and in addition to good intentions, you will need equipment and a steady hand to paint your nails. And, of course, the knowledge to avoid unpleasant surprises such as damaged and loose tiles.

Home manicure salon

To be able to do a hybrid manicure yourself, you will need the same accessories as in a professional salon, that is:

  • UV curing lamp,
  • hybrid varnishes: colored, as well as baic and top coats,
  • liquid for degreasing natural nails,
  • two files (for shortening panoshes and for very gentle cleaning and matting of tiles),
  • cotton swabs, preferably the so-called dust-free (they do not leave hair on the nails),
  • hybrid removal fluid or milling machine.

Hybrid year by step

The basis is, of course, the preparation of the nail plate. Cuticle displacement, shortening and filing is the first and necessary stage of a hybrid manicure. The other is a very delicate matting of the nail surface with a special thin nail file or a bar with a polishing block. And here you have to be careful, because the tarnishing is in the cleaning of the plate, and not in strong friction. If you overdo it, the nail will become brittle, brittle and damaged when removing the hybrid. Hence the myth that hybrid polishes damage nails. This is not varnish and the file will damage the plate.

The next step is simple and consists in washing the nails with a special degreasing liquid. Dampen a cotton swab with it and simply wipe the tile as if you were rinsing off varnish. Now it's time to paint the first layer, that is, the basis for the hybrid. It usually has a light gel-like consistency and has a smoothing effect. Requires curing under a lamp, so if you can't draw, paint two nails first and place them under an LED lamp (for about 60 seconds). This way you won't spill the gel on your cuticles.

You will find a good and proven base coat in the Semilac, NeoNail or Neess offer. Do not wash the base, but immediately after hardening, start applying a colored hybrid varnish. As in the case of the base coat, in order to avoid spilling, it is best to paint two nails with the hybrid and place them under the lamp. Over time, when you gain skill and speed in precise brush strokes, you can immediately paint the nails of one hand. Unfortunately, one layer of color is usually not enough. To cover the plate with it, two must be applied. The last formula that needs to cover the color is a colorless topcoat, which will harden, shine and protect the hybrid against damage. Requires hardening under the lamp. Modern versions of such preparations, after light curing, are shiny, hard and resistant to damage. But you can still find a varnish that needs to be rubbed with a degreasing agent.

How to remove a hybrid manicure yourself?

In order not to make a mistake and enjoy beautiful nail color as long as possible, remember these few rules. First of all: each layer of varnish (base, hybrid and top) should also be applied to the free edge of the nail. The second rule is thin layers of varnish. The more hybrid, the less natural the effect. Besides, a thick layer will be harder to file.

It is best to remove hybrid varnish with a soft file or milling cutter. Cutting tiles should be as gentle as possible. Dissolving the hybrid with acetone remover is not a good idea. Acetone is a harmful substance and can damage the nail plate.
