How does avocado oil affect the hair and face? Cosmetic properties of avocado oil

No need to convince anyone that avocados are a vitamin bomb and a great source of healthy fats. The oil obtained from it is unique in many ways - check it out! Here's why you should use avocado oil and how to do it for the best results.

Avocado is one of the few fruits that are predominantly fatty. Its characteristic yellow-green flesh is by no means juicy - it is ripe, more like butter. All thanks to the high fat content - depending on the variety, it can reach up to 30% of the pulp! Minimum 15%.

Avocado oil - how to choose the best?

Due to the high fat content of the pulp, avocado oil, unlike most seed and grain oils available on the market, is pressed from it. There are various methods for extracting the oil - cold press, mechanical press or high temperature pressing and extraction.

Good quality oil is important because it determines the concentration of nutrients - vitamins, antioxidants and healthy fats. Do you want to have as many of them as possible in your product? Choose unrefined oil or cold pressed oil. This type of oil is not necessarily suitable for the kitchen, as it cannot be heated due to its low smoke point, so it is only suitable for cold dishes. However, it's perfect for grooming use!

Avocado oil - how does it affect the skin and hair?

Avocado oil is indispensable in body and hair care, especially if you need abundant hydration. The high content of vitamins A, D and E makes this ingredient nourish and rejuvenate the skin, preventing the formation of new wrinkles. It slows down the aging process in skin cells and prevents their damage by ultraviolet radiation. The list of useful properties of this oil does not end there. It also speeds up wound healing, brightens and provides a protective layer to the skin. This makes it ideal for the daily care of people suffering from dermatological problems such as atopy, psoriasis or eczema.

Avocado oil in face and body cosmetics

Thanks to all these properties, avocado oil is ideal for the care of sensitive, dry and mature skin. This ingredient is readily used by cosmetics manufacturers in creams and masks. You can apply pure avocado oil on your face or choose the right product that contains it.

Entire lines of cosmetics enriched with avocado pulp oil are offered, in particular, by Soraya and AA. If your face is in need of a nourishing treatment, we especially recommend Green Feel Natural Cream with Avocado, Olive Oil and Shea Butter or AA Yogo Shake with Avocado and Probiotics. This oil also nourishes chapped lips, so it can also be found in lip balms like Your Natural Side.

Due to its nourishing, protective and regenerating properties, avocado oil is particularly eagerly used in foot and hand creams - for example AA Super Fruits and Herbs Avocado and Sage or Soraya Foodie.

Avocado oil for hair - how to use?

Avocado oil has the same regenerating effect on the hair as it does on the skin. Especially recommended for strands of medium porosity, i.e. prone to curling, tangling and fluffiness, with a sufficiently large volume. As an example, monounsaturated oil penetrates well into the hair structure, but at the same time covers them with a protective filter. It makes the hair nourished from the inside, at the same time flexible and easy to detangle.

Avocado oil can be used to lubricate hair. To do this, stock up on pure oil - preferably unrefined for best care results. Avocado oil can be found, among others, in the offer of Nacomi, BioOlja or Mohani. The CBD variant guarantees even better care results.

You can use the oil wet or dry. If you want to be precise and avoid friction, prepare an aqueous oil solution and spray it all over your hair. Keep the mixture on your hair for at least 30 minutes. You can also oil your hair in the evening and go to bed and then wash off the oil the next morning. To do this properly, rinse your hair with water and then emulsify the oil, i.e. wash it off with conditioner.

It is worth knowing that not only in the pulp, but also in the seeds of avocados, you will find a lot of useful substances - from folic acid, through vitamins A and E, to many antioxidants. Consider adding the grated seed to your homemade mask mix. For example, you can mix it with unrefined avocado oil, honey, and aloe vera.
