According to GOST 17479.3, this brand was named MG-15-V:

• "MG" - mineral hydraulic oil;
• "15" - viscosity class. This means that at 40°C the kinematic viscosity is 13,50 - 16,50 mm2/s (cSt)
• "B" - performance group. This means that the composition includes mineral oils with antioxidant, anti-corrosion and anti-wear additives. The recommended area of ​​application is hydraulic systems with pumps of all types at a pressure of more than 25 MPa and an oil temperature of 90 °C.

VMGZ is used as a hydraulic fluid in a wide range of manufacturing, construction, forestry, as well as in all possible areas where hydraulic technology exists. This is due to the fact that VMGZ oil is quite versatile, it is maintained in operating conditions from -35°С to +50°С, which allows machines to operate in most of the territory of our country in winter and summer without the need to replace the hydraulic fluid. In the conditions of central Russia, it is recommended to use it as a winter crop. Also a big advantage of this type is that it can be used to start hydraulic motors at low temperatures.
