Gocycle GX: new folding electric bike for the British brand

The Gocycle GX is expected to be equipped with the UK brand's fastest folding mechanism in the spring.

Less than ten seconds! This is the time it takes for the user to fold the new Gocycle GX. Unveiled a few days ago, the new electric bike from the British brand will be the fastest to open or store in the range.

Like all models, the new GX is a figment of the imagination of Richard Thorpe, former McLaren and founder of Gocycle, whose first model, the G1, dates from 2009. Based on a magnesium alloy frame, the Gocycle GX promises to be just as light. as a carbon fiber model weighing just over 16 kg.

Powered by a 250-watt electric motor coupled with a battery discreetly embedded in the lower tube of the frame, the GX promises up to 65 kilometers of range on a single charge. On the bike side, the GX uses a Shimano XNUMX-speed hub derailleur.

The British manufacturer's third model, the Gocycle GX, will ship in spring. It is already available for pre-order, on the manufacturer's website it is announced from 3199 euros. In the Gocycle line, it sits between the GS and the G3 at 2799 and 3999 euros respectively.
