Harley-Davidson: Electric LiveWire from $ 30, range of 177 km [CES 2019]

Harley-Davidson says the LiveWire electric motorcycle is priced at $ 29. For the price we would buy a Nissan Leaf 799, we get a bike that can travel 2 kilometers (177 miles) on a single charge. The battery capacity of the LiveWire is still unknown.

According to the journalist for the Electrek portal, he was unable to obtain information on the detailed technical parameters of the motorcycle. They will be announced when the bike hits the market (source). It is already known that the range in mixed mode will be 177 km, and the LiveWire acceleration to 97 km / h (0-60 mph) is expected to take 3,5 seconds.

Electrek compares the Harley-Davidson motorcycle to the Zero SR, which has similar acceleration and range, a 52 kW (71 hp) engine and a 14,4 kWh battery.

LiveWire must be constantly online so that its owner can remotely check the battery charge, plan a trip or carry out simple car diagnostics.

Harley-Davidson wants to have at least one showroom in each of the 50 states and more in every city. However, to sell it, the dealership owner will have to install a DC fast charger. LiveWire cost in Polish terms means an amount of 150-160 thousand zlotys - that is, as much as you can buy a second-generation Nissan Leaf today.
