Despite its just celebrated centenary, Harley is still beating at the calm pace of its V-twin and has never been as successful as it has over the past decade. The sales figures in the United States, which are the true superpower of motorcycles, are incredibly high. Why this is so becomes clear when we look at American roads, which are generally flatter than winding, and consider the strict speed limits.

Harley Davidson Electra Glide is a motorcycle designed for such roads and an absolutely calm and relaxed ride. It is best to ride in pairs on a romantic country road at speeds of 60 to 90 km / h. Exaggeration with a 344-kilogram motorcycle (that is, dry weight) is revenge, and sudden braking and quick reactions throw the motorcycle out of a state of sleepy equilibrium. That it wasn't meant for racing became clear when we pulled the front brake lever. Well, yes, the braking distance is long, suitable for the weight and design of the motorcycle.

This Harley is a touring bike and it is convincing in this role. For more impatient and adrenaline-filled drivers, they have a Harley V-Rod or Sportster. The Electra Glide boasts a soft and comfortable seat, large pedals, very good upper body wind protection (blows hard on the legs) and a very comfortable driving position. Having said that, we humbly advise that if you are not tall, you should consider another of the rich range of these legendary bikes.

Turning a heavy beast (the sound is typical of a Harley with deep two-cylinder bass) takes a lot of strength and skill. However, looking at the price tag, it quickly becomes clear that even this side is not for everyone. In America, you can enjoy for 4 million tolar.
