Harley Davidson FXDB DYNA Street Bob

The Harley Davidson is heavy, clumsy and slow in the eyes of the modern motorcyclist. We prefer cuddly naked, wild super athletes and playful supermotos. But, believe it or not, enjoy it slowly too. And so the new Harley (slowly) crawled under our skin.

Street Bob is the simplest and most selfish newcomer to the Dyna group. Selfish, because behind the driver's seat in the saddle you will only find a large metal fender covering the 160 millimeter wide rear tire. That's right, a Bob without a backseat is only meant to please the driver. On this motorcycle, the high handlebars are very striking, which is an elegant extension of the front fork - of course, everything is made of shiny metal. The unit has a good one and a half liter volume in two cylinders, which promises considerable torque.

Otherwise, the respectful position of the driver is not entirely convenient when these 300 kilograms have to be moved around the parking lot. When we turn the key, hidden in the ignition, hidden on the front of the frame right under the steering wheel, we touch the start button. The Harley shakes characteristically and comes out with two deep bass from two straight exhausts. The gearbox shifts into first gear without much noise, and then we can drive elegantly. And the adjective elegantly and beautifully describes the ride that suits Harley the most. Everything goes smoothly and slowly. It is best to switch at the lowest possible speeds, since then the sound will be the most "Harley", and the vibrations will be the most pleasant. Pleasant vibrations? Yes, these are not annoying vibrations that can cause tingling in the limbs at the end of the "session".

Riding like this, you find that 300 kilos isn't even that much, that a rather old two-cylinder engine pulls well, and that the best brakes can already be dangerous. However, since most modern motorcyclists are concerned about such things, the Harley remains reserved for those rare people who like to ride… differently.
