2016 Honda Africa Twin, the return of a legend - Moto Previews

Honda published photos and official information about the new product and the long-awaited Africa Twin 2016.

Parallel twin motor 95 hp

However, the new 2016 Honda Africa Twin will also be available with the well-known A sequential gearbox dual clutch Honda DCT with two driving modes, Drive and Sport, and a special G function for off-road. 

Carrycot semi-double steel frame

In the construction of a durable steel frame of the new CRF1000L Africa Twin, three main characteristics - the same as the original XRV750 - were considered among the design goals: high off-road performance, great comfort over long distances and remarkable maneuverability in everyday use, the features are exceptionally balanced in a way that makes it an amazing, fun craftsman all hands.

The semi-double frame of the carrycot offers the perfect balance between stability at high speeds even under full load, off-road driving ability, handling and resistance to even the most extreme loads.

The long-travel Showa fork is fully adjustable, and redesigned pivot feet feature Nissin 4-piston radial brake calipers that grip 310mm petal-profile floating discs. The single shock absorber can be adjusted with multiple adjustments, with a practical hydraulic handle adjuster to preload the spring. 

Front wheel 21”
