Honda CB 900 Hornets

In addition to all the features and characteristics of the vehicle, we also evaluate its value, that is, what the future owner actually receives from the vehicle for this money. And the compliment that a car or motorcycle is a good buy is not easy to write down.

You will, of course, say that even in the world of gasoline vapors there are things that are difficult to assess. The owner of an MvAgusta or Ferrari seeks additional prestige in addition to the superior product quality that only the most exclusive brand can offer. For some it costs a lot of money, while others will say it is pure financial failure. Well, this time we will forget about sinfully expensive steel horses and face reality, not dreams.

The Honda Hornet 900 is a type of bike that doesn't stand out with flashy colors, magnesium, carbon, titanium or aluminum racing accessories. The shape is somewhat classic, has a large round canopy on the front, and doesn't even have modest armor to protect the rider from the wind. The position of the driver and passenger is quite straight, comfortable and relaxed. In a word, it is also suitable for a quite decent wandering together, even beyond the sea. With dual exhaust pipes and a pointed rear end, Honda has no shortage of sportiness and modern motorcycling principles.

The product is beautifully designed and does not attract undue attention. We were also impressed with the workmanship.

All guesses come to an end when a four-cylinder with a sporty sharp sound is heard. The Hondo is powered by an engine very similar to the legendary CBR 900 RR. Due to its ease of use, its power was slightly reduced (to 109bhp at 9.000rpm), but the responsiveness at lower revs was improved and it was brought to a red field.

Thus, the engine is the only undemanding, but powerful and flexible toy. This allows the rider to move very easily at low revs and in high gear, otherwise very accurate gearing. If you're not in a hurry, just a light throttle and the Hornet 900 will follow your right wrist. But be careful! That's not all he can. At the moment when the driver wants a sporty sound, adrenaline during sporty accelerations, he is separated only by a decisive gas supply. It is then that the four-cylinder engine shows its sporty soul and leaves no disappointed adrenaline-fueled pleasures needed by the driver. Front wheel in the air, knee on the pavement - yes, the Hornet 900 will handle it all without any worries!

The only thing we didn't like about this versatile bike was the lack of wind protection. In the fully serial version, which you see in the photo, it was best to twist corners there from 80 to 110 km / h, and above 120 km / h the gusts of wind were a little tired. The good side is that this is temporarily solved the easiest by the aerodynamic body position (when we flexed behind a pair of large circular gauges, the engine accelerated over 200 km / h and remained completely motionless). Well, this is forever settled by buying a small windshield, which can be a very beautiful fashion accessory.

As we mentioned in the introduction: there are few motorcycles in our country that boast so much of everything that the $ 1 million Hornet 8 offers.
