Husqvarna Motocross & Enduro 2007

It looks like enduro motorcycles. They have to endure a full day of effort, climbing slopes that must logically cling, hitting rocks, hidden traps, falling, sliding down steep slopes, going through deep water ... and still work at the end of the day. In the race for the world championship, they are replaced only by worn tires and a filter. They are not washed either. Endurance is equivalent to performance here.

Husqvarna, a legendary off-road motorcycle brand that has won 67 world titles in its XNUMX-year history, is committed to the durability of its units and other quality components. Their peculiarity lies in the fact that enduro models are already equipped as standard with an aluminum enduro bar, hand guards and engine guards. Husqvarna is also the only company in the industry to offer a two-year warranty on enduro models. This requires "eggs" and a very good product.

For enduro models, where you will find two push-strokes (125 and 250) under the WR label and three four-strokes under the TE label (250, 450, 510), the changes for the 2007 model year are minimal due to the tested design, only fine tuning of the instrument.

The improvements are immediately noticeable in the suspension as the wheels now have even better ground contact (Husqvarna is renowned for its good rear tire grip, even in the most extreme driving conditions). Outside, only a new plastic color is visible, which is now red-black-white due to positive public criticism following the example of last year's sneakers and those famous XNUMX Husqvarnas when they ruled. motocross tracks around the world.

The motocross line is striking in the fact that Italians strongly believe that the transition from an 85cc engine to a dedicated 125cc crossover is ideal for young motocross riders.

Why special? Because it was wound up and very well balanced by the suspension, where the last gold-painted Öhlins shock stands out the most. The Marzocchi forks stayed ahead, but they have been significantly improved over the 2006 model. Otherwise, the entire TC range is fitted as standard with an Öhlins rear shock that is unique in the motocross world.

Admittedly, four-stroke crossovers are a bit heavier than Japanese rivals, and due to the (today's) oversized unit, it's much less likely to crash into it. Husqvarna four-stroke cross-country ski engines change their piston every 40 hours, and Japanese cross-country ski engines every 10-15 hours. Therefore, Husqvarna's maintenance costs and downtime are disproportionately lower and more convenient for the average driver.

This may mean nothing to the top professional motocross riders because they break their engines after every race, but amateur riders certainly don't, so this is a great choice for them at the moment.

For demanding professionals, Husqvarna is already testing an all-new 250cc four-stroke unit. See with double overhead camshaft and radial valves (as in MV Agusta). The engine, which will most likely already have an electronically controlled fuel injection system, spins up to 15.000 30 rpm and is capable of developing from 37 to 2008 "horsepower" on a motorcycle. It is expected to see the light of series production in 2007, which is still a long way off, but now you can take comfort in the fact that prices for the XNUMX models of the year have remained practically unchanged.
