Hyundai Kona Electric: Is the charging cable stuck in the outlet and won't unlock? Use Bluelink • ELECTRIC CARS

Sometimes it happens that the plug of the charging station gets stuck in the socket, for example, due to a blown fuse (blown). There are several ways to unlock it, but the Bluelink (Blue Link) app may be the most effective. There is no need to desperately search for unlock lines.

Unlocking the plug stuck while charging [Hyundai]

IMPORTANT: If the car is still charging, the cable will get stuck in the socket. This is normal behavior. The tip is intended for an emergency, an unusual situation where the plug remains locked while charging is complete.

When a fork is blocked for no reason, the fastest way is to launch the Bluelink app and submit it. Unlock doors to the car. All bolts will open, including those on the charger plug. The method works in Hyundai Kona Electric (2020), which have a wireless module and are compatible with the Bluelink app.

At an older age, you can try other options:

  • close all locks with a key and then open them,
  • close all locks with a key, and then use manual (manual) opening with a key in your pocket.

It should also be remembered that when the LOCK option is turned on in the car (the LED on the AUTO button is off), after opening, it fixes the bolts on the charging plug they are unlocked for 10 seconds and then locked againto prevent cable theft. Then lock the car with the key, wait 20-30 seconds, re-open the car and quickly disconnect the cable.

In AUTO mode (LED on the AUTO button is on), the cable is unlocked after charging is complete. This option should be used at public charging stations. equipped with their own cablesto make it easier for others to charge when the refueling process in our car is complete.
