Hyundai takes things to the next level: The New Concept Seven is a three-row, seven-seat electric car that's bigger than the LandCruiser 300 Series.

The Concept Seven is Hyundai's largest electric vehicle.

Hyundai is betting big on its all-electric future. And we mean it literally, as today the brand is introducing a massive Concept Seven three-row SUV with a wheelbase that dwarfs even the new Toyota LC300.

It's officially a concept for now (although reports indicate it will be in production within two years). The Concept Seven was unveiled this morning at the AutoMobility Show in Los Angeles.

How big is the speech? Very. While its exterior dimensions have yet to be confirmed, we do know that the brand, using the E-GMP platform, has managed to push the wheels further towards every corner, resulting in a massive 3200mm wheelbase.

Unsurprisingly, that means there's plenty of room inside too. While the concept car is set up like a luxury living room - all huge seating and room to stretch out - the Concept Seven is meant to be a preview of a proper three-row, seven-seat electric SUV.

Hyundai hasn't figured out the engines and battery yet, but said the Seven has been designed to give it a 480-kilometer range on a single charge. And when it's time to restock, the brand says it will go from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes when connected to an appropriate fast charger.

Its sleek design also features hidden "active air dams" that can open when brake cooling is needed and then disappear again for improved aerodynamics.

In this massive cabin, you'll find bamboo wood and carpet, as well as copper and what the brand calls "hygienically treated fabric," essentially giving the interior antibacterial properties.

“Seven is venturing off the beaten path,” said Sang Yup Lee, senior vice president and head of Hyundai Global Design. “It paves the way forward to what an SUV should be in the era of electric vehicles, with a unique aerodynamic clean shape that doesn’t compromise its rugged personality. The interior opens up a new dimension to a space that cares for its occupants as a family living space.”
