Infiniti EX - there are simply no words ...

…To describe this car! A beautiful, unusual silhouette that cannot be attributed to any of the known classes of cars. A powerful, award-winning engine, certainly known to the general public from the Nissan 370z. Luxurious interior with Ford Focus spaciousness and Lexus LS trim. A mixture of extremes? Indeed, this kupeobrazny crossover is difficult to shove anywhere.

The Infiniti brand in Poland is little known to a wide audience. It officially appeared in October 2008. Before it officially opened its doors in Warsaw, again and again due to private imports, mostly from the United States, the FX model could be seen stalking the streets of Warsaw, Poznań and Katowice. That's all.

Things are different in the US, where Infiniti, Nissan's luxury brand (like Toyota Lexus), has been thriving since 1989. And he's surprisingly good at it. Will a similar fate await her in Poland?

Usually at this point, a detailed analysis of the car takes place in terms of the attractiveness of the body, the workmanship of the running gear and the functionality of the interior, as well as the temperament of the heart hidden under the hood. However, this time it will be different. Infiniti is an unconventional brand and the EX model is an impossible creation. Therefore, writing about the capacity of the trunk of this car, by the way, is scanty (340 liters), it makes no sense.

No one will buy this car because of the spaciousness of the trunk or the spaciousness of the back seat. Because this roomy one is practically non-existent – ​​traveling in the back seat could be recommended to children at most, because no adult will experience the luxury of this type of car there. The economical ones have nothing to look for here either, because for the price of one Infiniti EX (significantly more than 200 PLN 6) you can easily buy three new Focuses and a Fiesta in a well-equipped version. You can’t count on savings on the road, because the V3.7 gasoline engine with a volume of 320 liters and a power of 17 hp. knows how to drink. And he drinks! Yes, and in general a lot - 13 liters in the city and 240 liters on the highway - this is definitely more than the Save the Planet activists would like. Even a three-liter diesel engine with almost 37 hp. can "swallow" quite a lot, although clearly less than a powerful gasoline engine. Sports enthusiasts are sure to find relief at the controls of the EX6.5 - under 240 seconds to 2000 and XNUMX km/h - performance worthy of the best sports cars. And looking at this car from any profile, it's hard to see a Porsche Boxter or Honda S rival.

So what is Infiniti EX and who is this offer for? No idea! Undoubtedly, the car impresses with its workmanship, design and technology. For example, what marketers call Scratch Shield - nanotechnology that, under the influence of heat, removes small scratches from the paint (?)! Revelation! The front seats, so comfortable and perfectly fitted to the driver's body, are simply amazing. Revelation! On the other hand, the back seat, which is too annoying for its tightness. Refusal!

It makes no sense to perceive this car through the prism of measurable quantities. Length, width, height, wheelbase or trunk capacity for this car are secondary parameters, if not completely insignificant. What matters is the style and the fact that it can't be glued anywhere. I can't imagine the Infiniti EX going to pragmatic, penny-calling, neurotic customers. This is a car for people who enjoy life and enjoy discovering new horizons. Not for boring people who will complain about a minimalist trunk that can't be organized logically. This is a car for the select few who, in exchange for an unusual body and above average driving performance, are able to put up with a high price and cramped rear. In any case, neither they nor their loved ones will have to experience this crowding - Infiniti will certainly not be the only tenant in the garage: if necessary, there is a limousine with rings or a star on the hood that will comfortably take you to the desired place. The A EX will remain the stylish toy it is by design.
