What are the parts of a float?

Processing
	The float handle is attached with screws or glue and can be made from plastic or wood.
	The handle can be molded into the body if it is a plastic float.
base plate
	The base can be made of aluminium, plastic, wood, magnesium or stainless steel. On the one hand, it is attached to the handle, and on the other - to the substrate. Most plastic floats are made with a handle built into the body.
Protective layer
	The protective layer on the face of the float varies in texture and can be made from sponge, rubber, plastic, wood, or magnesium. Some sponge floats have replaceable protective layers. For more information see What are the types of floats?
