Juiced Scorpion: the electric moped of the future

Freshly revealed by the Californian startup Juiced Bikes, the Scorpion promises up to 120 kilometers of range in a single charge.

The result of a partnership between Juiced Bikes, Onyx and Bird, the Scorpion could soon become the next fashionable electric two-wheeler on California roads. With its look of a small electric moped and its blue dress, the machine has it all and is reminiscent of the Bird Cruiser revealed in early June by the Californian operator.

If the novelty of Juiced bears the air of an electric bicycle, it is indeed the moped category in question. Powered by a 750 watt electric motor integrated into the rear wheel, the Scorpion allows maximum speed up to 45 km / h. Removable and placed on the diagonal of the frame, the battery operates under 52 volts of voltage and has a total of 1 kWh of energy capacity. In the most favorable scenario, the brand promises up to 120 kilometers of autonomy.

Mounted on large wheels, the Juiced Scorpion is equipped with disc brakes and receives a large LED display allowing the driver to keep an eye on the speed and the battery charge level in real time. And if the urge to pedal takes you, especially to assist the small engine during climbs, know that the machine is equipped with a seven-speed derailleur.

On the manufacturer's site, all you have to do is enter your email to speed up the machine's pre-order interface. At this stage, the manufacturer does not give any indication as to the price and availability of its electric two-wheeler. Case to follow!
