How to quickly warm up a car interior

how to warm up a car interior in winter faster

There are some owners who, at the onset of the first frost, put their cars in winter storage. Someone is guided by the issue of safety and is simply afraid to drive on a winter road, while someone simply tries to save the car from corrosion and other harmful effects from operation at low temperatures in this way. But the vast majority of drivers still prefer to drive their cars at any time of the year, and winter is no exception.

In order not to freeze for a long time in winter and warm up the interior of your car as quickly as possible, you must perform the following steps that will help you warm up the car several times faster.

  1. Firstly, after starting the engine, when you turn on the stove, you need to close the recirculation damper so that only internal air drives through the cabin, so the heating process occurs much faster than with an open damper. And one more thing - you should not turn on the heater at full power, if you have 4 fan speeds - turn it on to mode 2 - this will be enough.
  2. Secondly, you do not need to stand still for a long time and, as we are all used to, it takes a lot of time to warm up the car in place. Let the engine run a little, no longer than 2-3 minutes, and immediately you need to start moving, since the stove blows better at speed, the oil sprays better in the engine and the interior warms up, respectively, also faster. Although many still stand for 10-15 minutes in the yard until the temperature needle reaches 90 degrees - this is a relic of the past and should not be done.

If you follow at least two of these simple rules, then the process can be reduced at least twice, or even three! And to freeze in the morning in a cold car, you must admit that no one will like it!

And in order not to sit idle in a cold car and not wait until warm air starts to blow from the stove, you can sweep the snow from the car with a brush or clean the windshield with a scraper. Good luck on the road.
