How to make up in spring and summer, or catwalk makeup trends for 2020

Minimalism in colors or neon accents on the eyelids. What makeup will you choose for warm days? We check what happened on the catwalks during the fashion week and suggest which trends are worth trying for yourself.

The make-up artists were again showering with ideas and, as always, there were some spectacular surprises, such as pearls and stars glued to the skin. Luckily for us, most spring trends (even those marked with asterisks) are easy to follow without much skill. So, if you're looking for some inspiration and want to try new shades of eyeliner, freshen up the contents of your lipstick and lip gloss case, check out the six most spectacular makeup looks for spring 2020.

How to do minimal makeup?

A well-groomed, alabaster-smooth complexion is a favorite theme of spring fashion shows. This makeup idea belongs to the classics and successfully resists the upcoming seasons and outgoing trends. There are cells. No color on the lips and eyelids, no mascara on the eyelashes, but with a shimmery base, translucent powder and some creamy eye shadow in a nude color. No extravagance, makeup should look supernatural. This image was presented by models, including at the shows of Paco Rabanne, JW. Anderson and Burberry. What do you need to have on hand in order to repeat it as accurately as possible? In the minimum version, a radiant base is sufficient, which will even out the skin color, protect it from excess shine and smooth it out. For example, base Bourgeois, Healthy mix. In the maximum version, it is worth considering cream eyeshadows (Maybelline, Color Tattoo 24 HR creamy beige) and a practical highlighter stick. Use it instead of blush and pat it on your nose. Return of neon eyelids

Green in the shade of the grass, orange and yellow are back in fashion. Such shadows and eyeliners appeared on the eyelids of models during shows, including Helmut Lang, Versace or Oscar de la Renta. Most often, makeup artists emphasized the corners of the eyes with them, or made long lines along the upper eyelids. It's easiest to just draw a thick shadow line with the brush, but if you prefer a more original design, try drawing a short line along the inner corner of the upper eyelid and the outer corner of the lower eyelid. If you don't have neon colors in your trunk, a practical eyeliner pen like this one will come in handy. Bluebell, Secret Garden Colorful, green.

What are we going to give up in makeup? Lip gloss in stand

For the first time this season, the makeup artists agreed on one thing: no lip gloss and no glossy lips. Now the effect of slightly damp skin and natural lips, emphasized by a special moisturizing balm, is in fashion. Strong enough to keep the effect for a long time after applying cosmetics. Such “wet” lips were presented by models at Chanel shows (on the cover) and Giambattista Valli. When choosing cosmetics, keep an eye on the consistency and choose gels without particles, like this one. Celia colorless lip gloss.

classic eye line

Black does not go out of fashion for centuries, but the shape of the line, its length and style change. This year, retro-style eyeliner will be fashionable, as, for example, on the shows of Dolce & Gabbana or Dennis Basso. A long, curled line at the end creates a make-up effect that visually enlarges the eyes. So all you need is liquid eyeliner, or an easier-to-use eyeliner, and a line along your upper lid with a steady hand. Try to pull it up so that it ends quite sharply. Unusual makeup accessories.

Small white stars on the lower eyelids (Anna Sui show), pearls around the eyes (Dries Van Noten show) or silver particles on the nose (Off-White show). Small decorations on the face make a big impression. Nothing but to repeat them on yourself in exceptional situations, such as a wedding or a date combined with dancing. All you need is some lash glue and a few embellishments, the rest you can replicate based on the aforementioned shows. You can use glitter, body stickers, or pearls to decorate your nails.

The new trend is double eyelashes.

Eyelashes heavily emphasized with mascara are no longer enough. This season there are false eyelashes, but in a double version, like on the Gucci catwalk. This means that now we can experiment and stick them on the upper and lower edge of the eyelid. The makeup artist idea is new, extremely effective and easy to implement, because all you need is glue and, for example, two pairs of eyelashes. Ardell, Natural, Striped False Eyelashes.
