How we chose a used car

Recently, a relative had to choose a used car, and was his expert, so to speak. Of course, I don't know everything, but I can tell and see quite a few things about the body and engine. So, at first he had a Niva, and she had already lived her life, he nevertheless decided to buy a front-wheel drive and most of all he wanted a ten.

First, we went to a neighboring village to look at cars, there were 6 copies from 2000 and 2002. The price for them was no more than 100 thousand rubles. Having looked at all this car, it became clear that it would be very difficult to find a normal device. Absolutely all of them had their bodies already corroded, and one copy had a completely rotten bottom. I determined this even without a hole, crawled under the bottom with my hand, tried to knock on the bottom, and suddenly a piece of metal fell out from there and my hand climbed into the salon. The rest of the cars had rotten bodies, arches, fenders, doors down the bottom.

Although there were some among these cars that had never been in a serious accident, all the factory seams, sealant and skark spoke about this, but the condition of the body left much to be desired. Half of the engines were unusable, the exhaust pipes were oily or in thick black soot, which is not good.

Only after a week of searching, we managed to find a VAZ 2110, though since 1997, which was overcooked - the bottom, repainted and the engine was overhauled. The condition of this dozen was excellent compared to the options that we looked at before. The only negative of this device is that the engine was still carbureted, but we turned a blind eye to this, the main thing is the body! We bargained and bought this car for 80 rubles, but at registration I really had to change the steering wheel, since it was not a factory steering wheel, although it was normal in size - ordinary, I don’t know what the cops didn’t like there, but still we drove into the store and bought new, which should be from the factory. They quickly installed it instead of the old one and successfully registered the car!
