For drivers, spring means not only changing tires for summer and inspecting the car after winter, but also the need to be prepared for a lot of sunshine. Many drivers forget about the latter. Without proper sunglasses and clean windows, a driver can become blind and create a dangerous road situation.

If the sun is high above the horizon, we don't have to worry about going blind while driving. The situation changes when the sun is low on the horizon, especially in the morning and late afternoon. Then the angle of the sun's rays often makes car sunshades useless.

– A driver blinded by the sun has a much more limited field of vision and much less driving comfort. In such conditions, it is very easy to find a dangerous situation on the road. Therefore, in the spring, sunglasses should be essential equipment for every car driver, says Zbigniew Veseli from the Renault driving school.

It is worth looking for lenses with a polarizing filter. They have a special filter that neutralizes glare from the sun, reflecting light and increasing the contrast of vision. In addition, it protects the eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation. For visibility, it is also important to make sure that the windows are clean and free of streaks. Dirt scatters the sun's rays and increases the brightness of the light. “Through the sun that shines in our eyes, we cannot see the cars slowing down in front of us and the rearranged motorcyclists that we can meet in large numbers on the roads in spring and summer,” say Renault driving school instructors. - The glare of the sun's rays can blind us even when the sun is behind us.
