How to ensure the correct operation of the air conditioner in the car?

How to ensure the correct operation of the air conditioner in the car? During several cold months, pollutants harmful to our body, fungi and mold have accumulated in the pipes and niches of the air conditioning system. For many people, they cause unpleasant reactions such as sneezing, coughing, watery eyes, and can even trigger a cold. Therefore, before the summer period, it is worth going to inspect the air conditioner.

How to ensure the correct operation of the air conditioner in the car?An unpleasant smell from the deflectors when the fan is turned on should be a clear signal for the driver to clean the air conditioning system. Therefore, do not forget to service the air conditioner and replace the filter element. The air conditioner will only work if it is properly used and properly maintained. Efficient air conditioning does not increase fuel consumption, works quietly and efficiently.

 – At least once a year, we must check several elements of the air conditioning system: clean all air ducts in the installation, replace the cabin filter, remove mold from the evaporator and clean the air intakes outside the car. In some cases, we must hold these activities at least twice a year, preferably in spring and autumn. This applies to vehicles used in places such as off-road, big cities or parked around trees, says Zbigniew Veseli, director of the Renault driving school.

Remember that maintenance of the air conditioning system, due to its complex design, should only be carried out at specialized points with the appropriate equipment and trained personnel.

An effective air conditioner will allow you to set the optimum temperature in the car (20-220FROM). This is an important factor that helps the driver to maintain proper concentration. Remember, however, that the difference in air temperature outside and inside the car should not exceed a few degrees. Too large fluctuations can lead to a decrease in body resistance and colds. Higher temperatures in the car have a negative effect on the driver's well-being, leading to faster fatigue. This, in turn, directly leads to a decrease in concentration and a significant decrease in reflexes, Renault driving school instructors warn.
