How to open a car without keys
The easiest way to open your car door when you forgot your keys inside is to call your insurance company or a locksmith. However, these tricks can be handled on your own and without spending money.
Car accidents can range from accidents to forgetting keys inside a car. In any situation, you are bound to spend time and money trying to make amends.
Locking the car and leaving the keys inside is a more common accident than it seems. Luckily, newer cars don't let you lock your doors when the keys are inside. But if your car doesn't already have this technology and you accidentally locked the car and didn't remove the keys, you'll need other methods to unlock your car.
Therefore, here we will tell you about some tricks with which you can open your car without having the keys with you.
If you don't have a spare key, and before calling a locksmith, try opening your car door with these three methods.
1.- Use a rope
Keep a coil of rope handy and you'll never have to pay a locksmith again.
Just tie a slipknot on the rope according to the video instructions, creating a loop the size of your index finger. Then move the string with the loop to the upper right corner of the driver's window, holding the string with both hands, smoothly move it back and forth until you reach the button on the door.
As you get close to the button, carefully pull the loop over the lock, pulling on the ends of the rope to tighten the loop at the same time. When you think you have a good grip on the button, gently pull it up to unlock the door.
2.- Use a hook
The hook trick is a classic way to open a car that has been locked inside with keys. All you need is a clothes hanger and some clothespins.
Unravel the hook with tweezers so that the hook is on one side and long enough to reach the buttons. Insert the hook between the window and the frame, once the hook is under the window you can start looking for the control lever. Once you find it, pull on it and your door will open.
3.- Make a lever
This method can be a little tricky. Find a thin but strong tool that can be used as a wedge. Pry off the top of the door frame with a pry bar and push in the wedge to keep the door frame out. Then, using a long, thin rod (maybe even a hanger), press the release button.
