How to use an ergonomic pipe bender?
Content
Step 1 - Check the sizeMake sure your pipe is 15 mm (0.6 in.) or 10 mm (0.4 in.) in diameter to match the size of pipe bender you have, as the ergonomic pipe bender will only fit one size of pipe.
Step 2 - Fix the pipeOpen the handles and insert the tube into the mold. Place a retaining clip on the end of the pipe to secure it in place. The ergonomic pipe bender has a built-in guide so it doesn't need to be inserted. Lightly pull the top handle to lock the pipe in position.
Step 3 - Bend the PipePull the top handle down using the curved grips on the handle while slowly bending the tube around the shaper. Once you've reached your desired angle, bend it slightly to provide a springy feel.
Step 4 - Remove the pipe and bend againOpen the handles and remove the tube from the mold. If the pipe requires further bending (for example, when creating a saddle bend), repeat the process from step 1. For more information on the types of bends that can be created, see p. What are the types of bending? |
