How to use a triangular sapper scraper?

	The technique used with a triangular blade scraper depends on whether you are scraping a flat surface or a cylinder.
Triangular scraper on cylindrical technique
	Hold the triangular-blade scraper with your main hand on the top of the handle and with your other hand on the base of the handle, like a large pepper mill.
	You should stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, with one foot in front of the other, facing the workpiece so that you can look down at the cylinder you will be cleaning. You must be able to see the cylinder to see the traces of ink that need to be scraped off.
	The triangular scraper should rest on the workpiece so that one of the cutting edges is in contact with the surface of the workpiece. Push the scraper away from you with your dominant hand while rotating the scraper blade with your other hand.
	The edge of the scraper in contact with the workpiece must be turned in the direction (green arrow) from the center line of the scraper (red line).
Triangular scraper on a flat surface
	Stand on the side, but facing the workpiece, feet shoulder-width apart and one foot slightly in front of the other. You should stand at such a distance that it is convenient for you to reach the workpiece.
	If you're using a small triangular-bladed scraper to work in tight spaces, you may be able to hold it with just one hand. This should be using your dominant hand, as if you were holding one side of the handlebars on a bicycle. If the scraper is larger and you can hold it with both hands, then you should hold it like an oar in a boat, but with both hands together.
	When using a triangular scraper on a flat surface, make sure that as much of the scraper's cutting edge (highlighted in green) as possible is in contact with the workpiece. This will speed up the scraping process as the scraper will remove more ridges with each stroke.
	When using a triangular scraper to clean hard-to-reach areas such as corners, it may be necessary to increase the angle of the scraper to the workpiece so that only the tip of the blade is in contact with the workpiece.
	The scraper should be pulled towards you while rotating in the same direction. This should result in a scooping motion that will scrape off the raised points on the workpiece.
