How to use the utility and control cabinet key?

Public and control cabinet keys are mainly used to open locks or adjust valves. The way they are used in these two ways is almost identical. | |

Step 1 - Find a lockThe lock is usually installed on the front of the cabinet door or on the side of the cabinet. It is often installed flush with the surface of the cabinet. | |
Step 2 - Choose a ProfileLook at the profile of the lock and find the corresponding profile on the utility key and control cabinet. It is sometimes possible to use a slightly larger or smaller key, but be aware that this may damage the lock or tool over time. | |
Step 3 - Insert the key into the lockPut the key on or over the lock. | |
Step 4 - Turn the KeyTurn the key a quarter or half turn counterclockwise (depending on the lock) to open the lock and open the door, or clockwise to lock the door. | |

Follow steps 1 to 3 in the section above and move on to the next: | |
Turn the key counterclockwise to open the valve and increase the flow of liquid or gas through the valve... | |
…or clockwise to reduce or close the valve. The more you turn the key, the more the valve opens or closes. You can no longer turn the key when the valve is fully open or fully closed. |
