Universal keys and control cabinet keys require little maintenance.Wipe off any dust particles from the tool and make sure it is dry before storing it, especially if it is a raw zinc alloy wrench. Water and dust increase the rate of corrosion.Avoid using profiles of the wrong size for the lock or valve, as this can damage the heads of both.Over time and with prolonged use, tool profiles can wear out, in which case you will need to replace the entire tool, as the heads cannot be replaced individually.Store the key in a safe, dry place such as a toolbox so that it is always at hand.
