How to get a category “C” license

Category "C" allows you to drive trucks without a trailer. Currently, this category is divided into two subcategories:

  • "C1" - driving a cargo vehicle weighing from 3500 to 7500 kilograms;
  • "C" - a vehicle weighing more than 7500 kilograms.

To get one of these categories, you need to take a course of theoretical and practical training and pass exams at the traffic police. It is worth noting that if during the last 3 months you have passed exams for obtaining rights of other categories, then to open a “C” you will only need to complete practical driving training and pass a driving test. If you have any other open category, then you still have to complete the entire course of study.

The duration of training in a driving school on average lasts about 2-3 months. To learn practical driving with an instructor, you will need to pay from 50 to 100 liters of gasoline. If you wish, you can use the services of an instructor individually, separately paying extra for additional classes.

After completing training at a driving school, students, based on the results of internal exams, are allowed to take an exam at the traffic police. To do this, you provide: a passport, a medical certificate, a certificate from a driving school, several photographs.

The exam consists of a theoretical part - 20 questions on traffic rules, you need to give the correct answer to at least 18 of them. Then your skills are tested on the racetrack, the inspector selects three exercises for each student: snake, entering the box in reverse or forward, parallel parking, starting off on the rise, and so on.

This is followed by a test of practical knowledge - driving along an approved route around the city. Based on the results of the exam, you either get a new category or prepare for a re-examination in 7 days.
