Such a system is more economical, fuel enters the combustion chambers of the pistons through nozzles in strictly measured portions. However, this method has one “BUT” - over time, these nozzles become clogged with all those small particles that can get into gasoline.

Signs that the injector needs cleaning:

• fuel consumption increased sharply - by 3-4 liters;
• engine power drops sharply.

Injector cleaning can be carried out both independently and with the help of special equipment that is available at service stations.

Cleaning with car chemicals

To clean the injector yourself, it is enough to purchase auto chemical products specially designed for this procedure, there are now a lot of them in any auto parts store and at gas stations. Pay attention only to products from trusted brands: Liqui Moly, Mannol, Xado, Castrol and so on.

Then you just need to pour the contents of the can into the tank and completely fill the car with gasoline. As fuel enters the fuel system, this product will dissolve all the dirt that has settled on the nozzles, you will have to wait for the effect until the tank is completely used up. But, it is worth noting that the chemistry dissolves not only all the slag on the injectors, but in general all the dirt that has accumulated in the tank and in the fuel system, as a result, all this “porridge” can settle on the sleeves in the form of slag.

Ultrasound and Chemistry

A more technological method is ultrasonic cleaning, it is carried out after a complete engine diagnostics. The nozzles are removed and placed in a special bath, in which they are cleaned under the action of a solvent and ultrasound, then they are placed on a stand and the quality of cleaning is checked.

There is also a cleaning method using a special stand and solvent. The engine is disconnected from the fuel system, a solvent is poured in, which not only cleans the nozzles, but also the valves, pressure regulator and fuel rail. The result is not long in coming and after a while the fuel is dosed normally, and the power and consumption indicators return to their place.
