How to easily and cheaply clean the fabric and plastic trim of the pillars and ceiling of the car

Open windows and smoking inside the car turn the interior lining of the roof pillars into a real clot of dirt. Water and detergents will help only at a very early stage. How to deal with neglected cases, the AvtoVzglyad portal will tell.

The next weekend, which is really worth spending in the country - the weather seems to have improved - threatens to vegetate in the beds or endless grass cutting, if the faithful "iron horse" does not come to the rescue. Or rather, the eternal need to do “something important” with him. This time it's time to finally raise your eyes and inspect the racks, or rather, their salon part. In all of Mother Russia, there is hardly a car that would refuse the attention of the owner to this part of the interior decoration.

Open windows, into which dust and dirt constantly flies, quickly turn plastic, and even more so the fabric of this interior element, into a terrible mess. One detergent and a toothbrush will not be enough to restore pristine cleanliness, and not everyone will have the strength to go to the store for professional chemicals. Well, let's "cook porridge from an ax", because the necessary ingredients can be found in every home. Or rather, one ingredient. To remove dirt from the racks, you only need hydrogen peroxide, which has been “living” in all first-aid kits of the country for centuries.

The method of work also does not require higher profile education and a professional set of tools: we dilute the detergent in a container and remove the top layer of dirt with a soft sponge. A couple of visits will be more than enough to get the part ready for the "second act".

First of all, you need to dilute the peroxide one to one with water and a sponge, very carefully, with smooth movements, begin to wash the dirt out of the pores. Do not polish or tear out - this can simply damage the part. The sponge should be used, of course, with the soft side, because the “rough” part can leave serious scratches or fluff the pile.

The first round when using hydrogen peroxide is needed to remove surface dirt, and when it is washed off, you can move on to more serious actions: we remove the remaining stains with a simple 10-second compress. We soak the sponge in the resulting solution, apply it to the rack and wait 10 seconds, after which we remove it. That's all science.

After completing the water procedures, you can suck the treated area with the most common “stationary” vacuum cleaner and get wet with a dry rag (read - an old T-shirt). Now it's up to the June heat and wind. It is important to dry the part with high quality, leaving the doors open and turning the car to the “sunny side”.

In such a simple and almost free way - a whole bottle of hydrogen peroxide costs about 60 rubles in a pharmacy, and a new sponge will cost 10 - you can wash the most stagnant stains. Peroxide practically does not leave streaks, the main thing is to dry it slowly. Three days will be more than enough for this.
