How to make sure that snow and ice do not stick to the “wipers”

In a heavy snowfall, even the most beautiful and new wiper blades strive to collect a lump of snow or “attach” a piece of ice. Because of this, the glass stops cleaning normally. How to deal with such a problem?

In snowfall, it is quite often possible to observe how a driver gets out of a stopped car and slams the “wiper” on the windshield with force, trying to knock off frozen ice or a lump of snow from it. Moreover, it can be an ancient "Zhiguli", and a modern representative foreign car. Frosting of the wiper blades on the go, as they say, is subject to everyone. In principle, the problem is rather trivial: how long to stop for a couple of minutes and knock on the “wipers”? However, annoying. Among the “super products”, after processing with which ice does not stick to the cleaners, for example, the legendary WD-40 liquid is called. In fact, it is almost useless in this sense. Is that the gum "wipers" for a short time will become a little more elastic. Inquisitive minds at one time tried to apply a thin layer of engine oil to the rubber bands of the windshield wipers. After that, the ice stopped freezing to them, but the oil from the brushes fell on the windshield, forming a cloudy film on it that interferes with the view no worse than ice.

Yes, and she collected dirt in an enhanced mode. And the extra “sand” on the glass, among other things, also leads to the intensive appearance of micro-scratches. Having rejected the oil, some people try to treat the wiper blades with silicone lubricant sprays. Such a "collective farm" also spoils everything rather than helps. Yes, ice on the brushes after treatment is not observed for some time, but silicone collects dirt and sand in the same way as engine oil.

Perhaps the most harmless and working (although not particularly radical) way to get rid of ice from wiper blades can be considered their processing with specialized auto chemicals. Namely - specialized aerosols for defrosting glass. For some time, the "janitor", treated with such a spray, becomes resistant to ice sticking.
