How to turn on the automatic parking brake in Tesla [ANSWER]
Tesla and some other car brands have an interesting feature that can come in handy when driving in traffic, especially when going uphill. This is the automatic braking function ("apply"): "Vehicle hold".
Vehicle Hold requires no menu changes and is supported by all Tesla with the 2017 software update. It works in such a way that it leaves the brakes on, so the car does not roll off the mountain, even if we give our feet a rest.

To start it, apply the brake - for example, to stop the car behind the car in front - and then push it harder for a while... (H) should appear on the screen. The function is deactivated by pressing the accelerator pedal or by pressing the brake again.
"Vehicle Hold" is also disabled when we switch the driving mode to N (neutral, "neutral"). After 10 minutes of parking in the "Hold the car" mode or after detecting that the driver has left the car, the car enters the P (parking) mode.
