The second is the disturbed smoothness of the movements of the wipers and unpleasant noises with each cycle. In these cases, you should immediately replace the wipers with new ones, because they can not only affect the comfort of the trip, but also damage the glass surface in our car. Importantly, while taking care of the cleanliness of the windshield, we must also clean the wipers and remember to wipe the feathers every time you wash the car,” explains Grzegorz Wronski, NordGlass expert.
Before buying new wipers, it is worth knowing what size wipers are currently installed in the car and what type of handle they have.
“This data will allow us to replace worn-out wipers with those recommended not only by the car manufacturer, but also ideally suited to the size of the windshield and mounting bracket. It is also worth remembering that new wipers should fit perfectly to the windshield. Good pressure guarantees perfect cleaning of its surface from water and dust particles. No wonder perfectly matched wipers do not absorb the driver's attention, they are silent and move smoothly across the glass.
It is also worth remembering that when installing a new windshield or rear window, also install new wipers. Perfectly smooth glass can be scratched by worn feathers already in the first days of operation. So when we replace the windshield, we have to replace the wipers too,” adds the expert.
Each driver can replace the wipers on their own. If he knows the size and model of the wiper, he can easily buy an identical one and replace it with a new one. However, when we are not sure about the length of the brushes and wiper handles in our car, we should take the help of professionals.
